A ministry of St. Peter's Church
St. Peter's Montessori School was founded alongside St. Peter's Episcopal Church and has always been a ministry of the church. As a nonprofit school, our decisions are guided by mission rather than profit. We stay true to our purpose: preparing children for life by nurturing their academic, social, emotional, moral, and spiritual development. Every decision we make is measured against what is best for children and our community.

Peace begins with children
Our choice to embrace Montessori philosophy was equally intentional. Dr. Maria Montessori believed that education has the power to create a more peaceful world, writing, "Establishing lasting peace is the work of education." We share that vision by cultivating classrooms where independence, empathy, curiosity, and respect flourish. We believe peace begins with children, and with the environments in which they learn.
Weekly Chapel
While our classrooms follow the authentic Montessori curriculum, students also gather weekly for Chapel, led by our Chaplain, Rev. Dr. Amy Jacober. Chapel is intentionally designed for young children, meeting in small, informal groups where students hear stories from the Spark Story Bible, sing beloved songs such as This Little Light of Mine and Go Tell It on the Mountain, and explore what it means to live with kindness and courage.
Welcoming every family
As an Episcopal school, we warmly welcome families of every faith tradition, as well as those with no religious affiliation. We do not ask children, families, or staff to become Episcopalian.
Instead, we honor the beliefs, cultures, traditions, and inherent dignity of every person. We believe every child is created in God's image and deserves to be welcomed with love, respect, and grace.
A community from across the globe
St. Peter's is home to families and educators from across the globe, including Singapore, China, Kenya, Nigeria, Mexico, the Philippines, Belgium, Norway, and many other countries.
For some students, our campus is where they speak English for the very first time. Every day, children naturally learn about different cultures, languages, and traditions through friendship, play, and shared experiences.
Each year, our community celebrates this richness during our much-loved International Festival, where families come together to share the cultures that make St. Peter's such a special place.
